At the same time our feelings are abstract, there are scientific explanations to how everything is felt/perceived. There is a poeticism to how existence is impalpable and "abstract," and our striving to communicate that abstraction keeps art inventive and enlightening.
I believe that there is a physicality to all things. We just need to find the proper channel through which we can represent these intangible elements.
